Help Us Build a Sustainable Future: The Kikiwak Project Fundraising Campaign
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are excited to introduce you to the Kikiwak Project, a labour of love that has been in the making for the last 3 1/2 years. Jadeon, the driving force behind this initiative, has poured over 1800 hours of dedication and an estimated $40,000 of his own resources into this project because he believes it will leave a lasting impact on future generations to come.
Our Mission and Vision:
The Kikiwak Project's primary mission is to promote sustainable building and land development while incorporating First Nations art, culture, and history into its core programming. We envision an educational centre that not only showcases the rich heritage of First Nations but also teaches children about sustainable building and land development, blending both traditional and modern technologies.
Our Current Progress:
Currently, the Kikiwak Project is in its second year of development on the land, focusing on building the education centre. Jadeon has already self-funded $40,000 to bring this dream closer to reality. We've transformed a raw piece of land into a thriving space, complete with a driveway, gardens, vertical gardening systems, solar array and cleared areas ready for the construction of more sustainable buildings. Our immediate goal is to raise approximately $10,000 to finish the ongoing aircrete building project.
Join Our Raffle and Make a Difference:
We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for you to support our cause. We will be selling tickets at $20 each. For every $20 ticket purchased, your name will be entered into a raffle where we'll be drawing for fantastic prizes, including jewellery, Birch bark biting, hoodies, art prints, and more. Your contribution not only gets you a chance at winning these wonderful prizes but also brings us one step closer to our goal.
Calling All Philanthropists and Organizations:
If any philanthropists or organizations see this campaign and would like to contribute, please reach out to Kikiwak First Peoples Society or Medicine Bear Arts. Your generous support is invaluable in advancing this essential project.
Our Impact:
The heart of our project lies in nurturing future leaders. Through our education centre, we aim to inspire children with a deep appreciation for First Nations heritage, sustainable practices, and innovative land development techniques. Our hope is that this model will spread, empowering communities across territories to establish similar education centres and foster positive change.
Thank You for Your Support:
On behalf of the Kikiwak First People Society and Medicine Bear Arts, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for considering a contribution to the Kikiwak Project. Your support will make a real difference in bringing this vision to fruition and ensuring a brighter, more sustainable future for generations to come.
